An explosion occurred in a mosque in eastern Afghanistan that killed and wounded at least 10 people, Reuters reported.

The incident occurred during Friday prayers in the Haska Mena area.

As a result of the explosion, the roof of the mosque collapsed, at least 10 people were killed and injured, said the spokesman for the governor of the province of Nangarhar, Attaullah Khogyani.

None of the armed groups has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
