The US has ratified a protocol on accession of North Macedonia to NATO, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted.
“Pleased to announce the United States deposited its ratification of North Macedonia’s NATO Accession Protocol. One step closer to welcoming #NorthMacedonia as NATO’s 30th Ally! #WeAreNATO, and we are #AlliedStrong," he tweeted.

Most countries have already ratified the protocol on admission of Northern Macedonia to NATO. A summit of the member states of the alliance will be held in London on December 3-4.
