YEREVAN. – Police forcibly removed the members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF)-Dashnaktsutyun Party Youth Union of Armenia who were sitting near the entrance of the Education, Science, Culture and Sport Ministry building.

The protesters, however, closed off the street adjacent to the ministry. They said several of their friends had been taken to the police station.

At this moment, the ARF youth are sitting in the street.

The ARF youth had offered to meet with the minister, but after refusing to try to enter the ministry building and then sit at the ministry entrance. The police, however, demanded that the entrance to the ministry be released, then forcibly removed the youth.

The ARF youth had proposed to meet with Education, Science, Culture and Sport Minister Arayik Harutyunyan. But after being refused, they tried to enter the ministry building, and then they sat near the entrance of the ministry. The police, however, demanded that they vacate the entrance to the ministry, and then the police forcibly removed them from there.
