An ice sculpture of legendary Soviet intelligence officers Gevorg and Gohar Vardanyans will be placed in Poklonnaya Gor in Moscow.
The sculpture will portray the legendary couple at the moment of their first wedding in 1946 and will be placed in the section devoted to the Soviet era at the History Museum Complex, reports RIA Novosti, citing the press service of the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) of Russia.
The press service reports that the intelligence officers got married three times, but the real marriage was the first time, and that was exactly when Gohar Vardanyan wore a wedding gown.
The sculpture is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the FIS and the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and will be unveiled on the sidelines of the “Ice Moscow” New Year’s festival to be held on December 30.
