President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has sent a condolence message on the occasion of the death of renowned historian and monument specialist Samvel Karapetyan.

The message particularly reads as follows:

“I was deeply saddened by the news about the death of renowned historian and monument specialist Samvel Karapetyan.

The standing and dilapidated historical and cultural heritage of the Armenian people around the world has become a way of showing the presence of Armenians through the efforts of Samvel Karapetyan. His valuable studies serve as records of Armenia and the Armenians and as a textbook for the present and the future.”
