A brawl began in the Turkish parliament after deputy head of the faction of the main oppositional Republican People’s Party Engin Ozkoc made allegations against President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports RIA Novosti.

Ozkoc responded to Erdogan’s allegations against leader of the political party Kemal Kilicdaroglu, whom the President had referred to as a traitor in response to his proposal to launch talks with President of Syria Bashar al-Assad. In his turn, the opposition MP had blamed Erdogan for using the word “kelle” (rude word for a dead body) when talking about Turkish soldiers and called Erdogan ‘a traitor’.

This statement sparked sharp reactions among the deputies of the ruling Justice and Development Party who got into a dispute and then started throwing fists. The parliamentary session was interrupted after several dozens of deputies of the two political parties joined the brawl.
