YEREVAN. – As a doctor, thinking about people's health, I urge not to wear a mask if you are not infected [with COVID-19]. Dr. Nune Nersisyan, the founder and head of “Paracelsus” NGO of Armenia, said this during a meeting with journalists Friday, referring to the statements by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, and accused him of inaction.

"A signature campaign has been circulating on the internet for three days already. I am going to submit a petition to the Prosecutor's Office regarding Arsen Torosyan, under Articles 308 and 309 of the Criminal Code: criminal inaction, abuse of official position. The Prime Minister-Commandant-Health Minister [trio] has become a ‘Bermuda Triangle;’ every one [of them] is saying something and putting the people in a very bad situation," she said.

Nersisyan also referred to the health minister’s recent photo posted on Facebook wearing a face mask, and said. "Masks cause problems even for a healthy person, causing oxygen deficiency which can cause many problems. People’s allergies act up even more, the problems of the cardiovascular system become more serious. I don't think the Prime Minister is making serious statements because we haven't heard any serious statements from the Prime Minister for two years already.”
