YEREVAN. – Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Recently, the parliament adopted in the first reading the package of drafts on making amendments and additions to the RA Constitutional Law "NA [National Assembly] Rules of Procedure," by which the authorities are going to create an even more comfortable situation for themselves.

In a conversation with the newspaper, a number of analysts expressed the opinion that the halls of power have undertaken this change in order not to get into unnecessary trouble at the stage of nominating judges for the CC [Constitutional Court] in the near future.

As it is known, the process of introducing "clarity" in the situation around the CC seems to become clear for the authorities in terms of applying the mechanism for sending three of them for now to pension in the first stage.

The authorities hope that this process will take place during the summer, after which there will be a need to appoint a member of the CC. And the purpose of making changes in the NA Rules of Procedure in such an urgent mode is to convene an NA sitting by the force of law—even if the parliament is on vacation.
