Armenia has been consuming 10% more natural gas over the past two years, and this has allowed to ease the requirements for increasing the natural gas tariff. This is what CEO of Gazprom Armenia CJSC Hrant Tadevosyan told reporters today.

According to him, the growth of natural gas consumption has helped restrict the use of wood.

Tadevosyan added that the Russian natural gas supplied to Armenia is higher in terms of its calorific value than is accepted based on international calculations (7,900 kilocalories) and that the calorific value of Russian natural gas is 8,900 kilocalories.
