Deputies of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Hayk Gevorgyan and Tsovinar Vardanyan have tested positive for coronavirus. This is what Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Assembly Lilit Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, adding that the deputies had gotten tested yesterday.

Armenian News-NEWS.am had reported that Tsovinar Vardanyan had taken a test yesterday. The news agency tried to contact Hayk Gevorgyan, but the latter didn’t answer.

Earlier, head of the My Step faction Lilit Makunts had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that a couple of other deputies have also tested positive for COVID-19.

On June 24, deputies of the ruling party Victor Yengibaryan and Kristine Poghosyan had confirmed the news about testing positive for coronavirus on their Facebook pages. Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Vahe Enfiajyan has also tested positive for COVID. Deputy of the Bright Armenia faction Gevorg Gorgisyan yesterday reported on Facebook that he had had contact with an infected person and has self-isolated.

According to presses, there are actually more deputies of the My Step faction infected with COVID-19.
