YEREVAN. – The Summer 2020 conscription has launched. Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson for the Minister of Defense of Armenia, wrote about this on her Facebook page.

"In parallel with the proper implementation of the summer conscription process at the republican central gathering station, strict anti-epidemic measures have been organized to prevent the penetration of the [COVID-19] infection into the armed forces. All conscripts are being mandatorily tested before leaving for military service, and then only participate in the draw [to determine where they will serve]," Stepanyan added.
