Three Russian soldiers have been injured as a land mine had hit a joint Russia-Turkish patrol in Syria, AP reported.

An unspecified number of Turkish troops have also been injured. 

The Russian military noted the attack happened on Tuesday as Russian and Turkish troops were patrolling the M4 highway in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone.

The injured Russian soldiers were quickly evacuated to the Russian base at Hemeimeem.

According to the Russian military, a Turkish armored vehicle was also damaged.
