 The Iranian government is preparing lawsuits in international courts to hold Israel accountable for the attack on the consular section of the Islamic Republic's embassy in Damascus that killed 13 people, including seven Iranian military advisers. This was announced by Masoud Setayeshi, the spokesperson for Iran's judiciary.

"It is the duty of the [Iranian] Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to file a lawsuit with the international courts regarding the attack of the Zionist regime on the Iranian consulate in Damascus," said Setayeshi.

He added that the Iranian FM and his ministry staff, together with the legal department of the office of the Iranian president, are going to file lawsuits with the international judicial bodies.

Setayeshi underscored that these legal actions at international courts will be pursued concurrent with Iran’s military response to the missile attack on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus by Israel, IRNA reported.
