Anna Danibekyan, judge for the case of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, denied the motion for the recusal of prosecutors Petros Petrosyan and Gevorg Baghdasaryan.

As reported earlier, the motion was filed by victim Sergey Yeghiazaryan’s representative Eduard Aslanyan and was due to the subjectivity of the prosecutors. Aslanyan thoroughly stated the violations against his client, the absence of documents certifying the damage caused to him and the fact that his rights to submit a civil claim within the scope of the case have been restricted. Moreover, investigators and overseeing prosecutor Petros Petrosyan haven’t taken measures to eliminate the violations. Based on this, Aslanyan filed a motion for recusal of Petros Petrosyan and Gevorg Baghdasaryan.

The judge deemed the motion to be groundless and denied it. The next trial will take place on July 28 at 1 p.m.
