Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan’s spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan posted the following on his Facebook page today:

“Yesterday MP Edmon Marukyan declared that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan had promised that the easing of restrictions would have an impact on people leaving to work abroad, but refused to fulfill his promise.

First of all, there couldn’t be easing of restrictions on citizens leaving to work abroad merely because Armenia hadn’t set a restriction on them, meaning it’s impossible to ease a restriction that doesn’t exist.

As for the people leaving for work abroad, they have trouble entering Russia since the Russian government’s decision prohibiting entry of foreign citizens into the territory of the country is still in force.

As it is seen in the video that Mr. Marukyan posted, the Deputy Prime Minister says the solutions will be announced on August 12. Yesterday Tigran Avinyan announced the solutions clearly and a few times in parliament. The Deputy Prime Minister said the government has launched discussions on the time limits and conditions for restoring air communication with the Russian Federation, and the issues concerning citizens leaving to work abroad will also be addressed.”
