A criminal case has been initiated on the Azerbaijani armed forces’ encroachment on the inviolability of the sovereign territory of Armenia. Rafayel Vardanyan, head of the Criminal-Legal Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, stated this at Tuesday’s press conference.

According to Vardanyan, this aggression was recorded on September 28, and about ten more criminal cases have been filed in connection with subsequent various crimes into the use of prohibited weapons by the adversary, and its attacks on civilians and objects in the rear of Armenia.

Since September 27, Azerbaijan has carried out aggression against 16 settlements in Armenia, attacking civilian infrastructure, killing eight people and wounding 11 others—along with non-combatant civilian soldiers.

And on September 29, an Su-25 fighter jet of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia was shot down in the airspace of the country, and its pilot—Major Valeri Danelin—was killed.
