YEREVAN. – We only suggest to our opposition partners not to posit any preconditions within the framework of a memorandum, but only to go for snap [parliamentary] elections so that the citizens will have the right to decide who will be in the new government. Gevorg Papoyan, an MP of the ruling My Step bloc, said this at Thursday’s traditional briefing of the National Assembly of Armenia.

According to him, the position of My Step is clear: The people shall decide who should be the new prime minister of the country. "Individuals cannot solve this problem. The issue will be resolved by the RA [Republic of Armenia] citizen—at the polling station. Under no circumstance will we deprive the RA citizen of that right," Papoyan said.
