Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today chaired a consultation over the draft of the Economic Response Plan based on the initial action plan.

The draft concerns Points 9 and 10 of the Roadmap that the Prime Minister announced on November 18, 2020. Point 9 concerns the overcoming of the coronavirus pandemic and elimination of its consequences, while Point 10 concerns the restoration of the environment for economic activity.

The Prime Minister stated that the government adopts different decisions on implementation of the November 18 Roadmap every week. “Another decision was adopted during today’s government session. Today we need to consider the draft of the action plan through which we will be able to restore the environment for economic activity and set forth and meet the new economic objectives. I hope the action plan will be presented as a government decision next week and will begin to be implemented,” Pashinyan said, adding that the plan envisages targeted, significant and visible actions that will be aimed at boosting economic activity.

The participants of the consultation touched upon the actions and steps envisaged by the action plan, made comments and suggestions, and the Prime Minister assigned those in charge to revise the draft and submit it to the government for approval.
