YEREVAN. – The Armenian side must work to strengthen and consolidate international pressure on Azerbaijan. Edmon Marukyan—a member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction—stated this at Tuesday’s press conference in the National Assembly.
Moreover, the MP admitted that those at the PACE were already tired of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) issue. "The thing is that people see that the [recent] war is over, there is a signed document. But there is a country [i.e., Azerbaijan] which, despite all this, behaves like a terrorist state. Only the terrorist holds hostages and tries to dictate its terms in this way, about which I made clear during my speech at the PACE. Either Baku returns our captives or Azerbaijan is declared a terrorist state," Marukyan added.
