Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz sees a ‘special security arrangement’ with the allied Arab countries of the Persian Gulf which share concerns about Iran.

Gantz didn’t comment on the statement by the Public Radio of Kan that Israel is considering a defense deal with the Persian Gulf countries, but declared that ties would remain in the security sector. Gantz told Reuters that Israel is preparing to enhance defense relations with all countries with which Israel has relations.

Gantz made it clear that Israel isn’t objecting the sale of 50 Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates and that US President Joe Biden’s administration is currently considering the transaction.
