Vaccinations of medical personnel of the country's national self-defense forces kicked off on Monday in Japan, TASS reports, citing Kyodo.

The vaccination of military medical personnel is taking place in Japan as part of the early vaccination of medical workers, which should reach about 4.8 million Japanese doctors.

Japan is using the Pfizer vaccine, while the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the American company Moderna have also submitted applications. The second vaccine is expected to receive approval from the Japanese health ministry by May.
