YEREVAN. – Gevorg Baghdasaryan, the prosecutor in the criminal case against Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and several other former senior officials, ended his remarks at Tuesday’s court hearing of this case with a dubious statement.

Defense attorney Aram Vardevanyan filed a motion to recuse Baghdasaryan from this court hearing, reasoning his meeting in Tsakhkadzor town with an MP of the ruling My Step bloc.

However, the court did not consider the motion, reminding that such a motion had already been submitted before.

And in his closing remarks, Baghdasaryan said: "They do not use Gevorg Baghdasaryan, but he uses."

And defense lawyer Hayk Alumyan filed a complaint against the court's actions, arguing that it does not put an end to such manifestations of criminal subculture.
