The new draft of the Electoral Code will significantly lower the possibility of increase of the number of deputies in the Armenian parliament. This is what deputy of the ruling My Step bloc of the National Assembly Hamazasp Danielyan said during today’s discussion on the draft of the new Electoral Code.

According to him, the Constitution provides for the minimum number of deputies (101 deputies + 4 deputies representing national minorities).

“According to the new rules of the game, additional seats for deputies will be significantly less likely. Nevertheless, the seats for representatives of national minorities will be guaranteed. The parliament will become more inclusive,” Danielyan added.
