Armenia’s acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan today received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Masanori Fukushima, as reported the Ministry of Economy.

Greeting the Ambassador, Kerobyan attached importance to the development of Armenian-Japanese economic relations and the need for intensification of contacts and business relations.

Ambassador Fukushima stated that his goal is to lay the foundation for long-term economic cooperation between Armenia and Japan, intensify cultural and sport relations and implement exchange programs for youth.

Attaching importance to the introduction and use of the latest technologies for Armenia’s economic development, the acting minister proposed to collaborate with the Ministry of Economy for transfer of technologies and exchange of experience with specialists.

Ambassador Fukushima stated that Armenia has great potential for development and informed about the Japanese government’s intention to support the development of human resources, the improvement of the business climate and development of infrastructures in Armenia.
