I can’t say whether the Armenian authorities are entangled in a process that is targeted against Iran or not, but one thing is clear — the incumbent authorities are constantly entangled in something. This is what second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan stated during today’s press conference, touching upon the comment that there are responses from Iran according to which the authorities of Armenia are entangled in a certain Turkey-US plan.

“Those certain things aren’t very much associated with the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people. The incumbent authorities have acted in such a way that other countries are confident that Armenia can be entangled in this or that process. The Iranian government isn’t certain that the Armenian authorities have become entangled in certain processes again, but we all know that the United States is also making active efforts to isolate Iran. In many cases in foreign policy and geopolitical processes, perception is more important than the reality. It’s very bad that Iran has this perception, and this perception can’t be eliminated with just one statement,” he said.
