Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has agreed on a thorough study and analysis of his health condition through a team of multifunctional doctors, one of Saakashvili’s doctors said, Interpressnews reports.

“Mikheil Saakashvili isn’t objecting the involvement of those doctors. It’s simply important for his personal doctor to visit him at the penitentiary institution. Yes, Mikheil Saakashvili has agreed. From the moral perspective, he is very active. What is more speculative is that there are talks about a group of doctors when his personal doctor doesn’t have the opportunity to visit him. Saakashvili has agreed in order to avoid speculations, but the personal doctor’s visit is important,” Gelkhauri said.

Earlier, the Georgian Ministry of Justice had addressed the Minister of Health with the request to set aside a multifunctional group of doctors to explore and thoroughly analyze the health condition of Saakashvili.
