Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today received the delegation led by President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Merab Turava.

As reported the Office of the Prime Minister, the Armenian premier welcomed the delegation’s official visit to Armenia and stated the following: “I am glad to highlight the fact that Armenia and Georgia are recording new dynamics in their relations, and evidence of this are the active reciprocal visits of delegations representing various sectors, and this time in the field of constitutional justice.” Pashinyan also attached importance to the development of cooperation and exchange of experience between the Constitutional Courts of both countries.

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Armenian side for the cordial reception, Turava stated that this is his first foreign visit after being elected President of the Constitutional Court, viewed the discussions with Armenian colleagues as effective and emphasized that the recent dynamics of the Armenian-Georgian relations serve as a good basis for strengthening of the legal relations between the Constitutional Courts.

The parties exchanged views on the course of introduction and peculiarities of the system of parliamentary governance in Armenia and Georgia, and the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia stated that Georgia considers inspiring and highly appreciates Nikol Pashinyan’s contributions to the democratic development of Armenia.
