The price of copper rises slightly on Monday morning on signs of strong demand for industrial metal for electric vehicles, according to trading data and analyst comments, Prime reports.

The price of March futures for copper on the Comex exchange increases by 0.05% to $4.4305 per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the London Metal Exchange (LME), on Friday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months fell by 2.4%, to $9,719.5, aluminum - increased by 0.83%, to $2,976.5, zinc - decreased by 1.19% to $3,521 per ton.
