The number of citizens delivered to various medical institutions as a result of the explosion in the Surmalu shopping center has reached 51, the Ministry of Health reports.
The hospitalized are in the medical centers Armenia, Erebuni, University Hospital No. 1, Surb Astvatmair, Shengavit and Izmirlyan.
One person has been killed.
Firefighting work is underway at four sites. Fourteen water carriers, eight trucks and three tractors of Yerevan Municipality are involved in the work. 50 rescuers and 155 firefighters-rescuers are involved in extinguishing the fire.
