YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Although the number of unemployed in Armenia exceeds 60 thousand, Indians have been considered cheap labor in our country for several years already.

In previous years, Indians were engaged mainly in greenhouse work in Armenian villages. But recently, they work also in the field of construction. (...).

Besides this, Indians try to view Armenia as a transitory state, so that later they can go to other countries through Armenia, get visas, establish a business, work in some services. For example, most of them prefer to go to the United Arab Emirates through Armenia. (...).

Zhoghovurd daily was informed by RA Statistics Committee that in the first 7 months of this year, 9,898 Indian citizens arrived in Armenia and 11,262 left [the country].

Let's note that our compatriots go to other countries, especially the RF [(Russian Federation)], and do construction work, whereas in our country they have become lazy in this matter. They do not want to work for the offered money, but they also complain that there is no work.
