Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian invited Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Tehran on behalf of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

The Armenian prime minister's press office recalled the meeting between Raisi and Pashinyan in New York, noting that it was productive in terms of agreements.

"Mr. Raisi asked me to convey to you and underline once again his invitation to visit Tehran," Abdollahian said.

He noted that Iran attaches importance to relations with its neighbors, particularly Armenia.

The Iranian delegation visited Armenia to define joint roadmaps with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

In turn, the Armenian prime minister congratulated the opening of the consulate in Kapan. This step, in his opinion, confirms the intentions of Armenia and Iran to develop relations.

"Of course, our agenda of bilateral relations is very full, but I also think that we should place that agenda in the logic of longer-term planning. It is clear that now we are very focused and unfortunately we have to focus on solving daily operational problems, but on the other hand, I am sure that our attitude towards these problems will be more practical if we have a long term view on everything," Pashinyan said.

The Armenian Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that the dialogue with Raisi has been developing consistently in line with that logic.

The sides discussed bilateral issues, and touched upon economic cooperation. They also exchanged views on the regional situation and the security situation.

The prime minister noted the importance of clear assessments by the Iranian side and close cooperation in the current situation.
