Sweden and Finland have not yet fulfilled all the obligations to Ankara in the context of the dialogue on the accession of these countries to NATO, the next meeting on the implementation of agreements will be critical, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this on Tuesday, TASS reported.

Both countries have taken certain steps, but at the current stage it is difficult to say that they have fulfilled their obligations. Steps are not enough, the minister was quoted as saying by Yeni Şafak newspaper.

Cavusoglurecalled that a trilateral meeting on the practical implementation of the terms of the memorandum signed in June by Turkey, Finland and Sweden was held earlier in Helsinki. The memorandum envisioned a series of steps that would allow the two countries to accommodate Ankara's demands and join the alliance.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is scheduled to arrive in Ankara on Tuesday to discuss the prospects for Turkey's ratification of the kingdom's NATO application.
