Armenia did not cancel the meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia in Moscow on December 23, 2022, but postponed it, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a press conference with Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman.

When asked what Baku has answered to Armenian side's proposals on the peace agreement, Mirzoyan said the previous day in Berlin that the negotiations are a long process and the sides exchange answers, comments and proposals. Ministerial meetings are being held in parallel. The minister once again voiced Yerevan's stance according to which Armenia did not think it was possible to participate in the December 23 meeting in Moscow because of Azerbaijan's blockade of Lachin corridor. "But, as I said, we still passed the proposals. And now a few days, 10-15 days ago we received an answer from Azerbaijan. In fact, we are at the stage of discussions. I want to say that by and large the negotiation process has not stopped. Now we will give our comments on the proposals. The Minister did not disclose the content of the proposals and comments, considering it inappropriate at this stage. However, he said that the positions have been brought closer on some issues and there is no progress on others. "The Armenian side has issues of principle, they were talked about a lot in public," Mirzoyan reminded.

“As for the meeting, we did not cancel it, but postponed it. As it comes from the wording “at a certain convenient moment”, we will engage,” said the Minister.

Asked whether the choice of the meeting is important, the minister noted that the meetings could be in Moscow or elsewhere. He recalled that the meetings were held in different cities. According to him, the choice of place is important, but it does not have an extremely important impact on the process. We are ready for the meeting in Moscow, concluded the head of the Foreign Ministry.
