There are many episodes related to the war that led me to think and hypothesize that what happened on the front line, its purpose is to organize a change of power. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Tuesday’s meeting of the National Assembly Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020.

"For a very long time I didn't allow myself to think about such a thing, but then I started thinking about it. That hypothesis was strengthened by the events in the Sotk-Khoznavar sector. Let's say that person X is found to have done this act, but why he did it is not clear; this is a very important nuance," said Pashinyan.

When asked if there was a case during the 44-day war in 2020 when, say, Pashinyan ordered not to use any weapon, in particular, not to use this or that missile, the Armenian PM first stated that it would be correct to address this matter in a closed meeting, then added: "There were types of weapons that the right to [use] in connection with which did not fully and completely belong to Armenia."
