Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan on Tuesday received the charge d'affaires of the US embassy in Armenia, William (Chip) Laitinen, and the newly appointed defense attaché, Colonel Kevin Steele.

The Minister of Defense congratulated Colonel Steele on commencing the mission in Armenia and wished him fruitful cooperation, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

A range of topics related to the current status of the Armenia-US Defense Cooperation and its prospects for development, as well as regional security issues, were discussed at the meeting.
