On September 22, during the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with the newly appointed Dutch Foreign Minister, Hanke Bruins Slot.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Mirzoyan conveyed his congratulations to Hanke Bruins Slot on her recent appointment and expressed confidence in the possibility of fostering continued active political dialogue and enhancing cooperation across various domains between Armenia and the Netherlands.

The discussions encompassed regional security concerns, with a particular focus on the situation resulting from another large-scale military assault initiated by Azerbaijan against the Nagorno-Karabakh region on September 19. Minister Mirzoyan underscored that this action violates international law and that Azerbaijan's aim is the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is home to approximately 120,000 people.

Minister Mirzoyan further emphasized that civilized Europe must not stand idly by in the face of another potential mass crime witnessed by the international community. He reaffirmed the significance of restraining Azerbaijani aspirations to resolve issues through the use of force and addressed the imperative of securing the rights and security of the Nagorno-Karabakh population.
