President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met with Primate of U.S. Eastern Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Khajag Barsamian and members of diocesan council in New York on Thursday.

Karabakh-Diaspora relations, internal relations and foreign policy of NKR were discussed.

President Sahakyan appraised the crucial role of Armenian Apostolic Church for securing Armenian identity in Diaspora, calling it one of the most important foundations of the Armenian statehood.
