YEREVAN. – Dismantling first brigade of the activists struggling against construction of boutiques in the Mashtots Park in downtown Yerevan, will be replaced by new people every day, activists told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Police protects the illegal pavilions and does not allow the dismantling brigade to pass the fences, despite there are hundreds of citizens in the Park. At the same time, the Yerevan city hall started to dig the territory with heavy equipment and hamper citizens’ movements in the Park,” the activists state adding the executive body of Armenia continues to violate civic society’s legal demand for over two months.

Yerevan Chief of Police Nerses Nazaryan claims they will take corresponding measures, in case the activists try to make illegal actions.
