YEREVAN. – The matter of coordinating Armenia’s tax rates with the Customs Union is not yet discussed.
State Revenue Committee Chairman Gagik Khachatryan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The processes are only just starting, and therefore it is early to speak about what decisions will be adopted,” he explained.
Khachatryan recalled, however, that the Armenian government has set up seven working groups, to discuss the coordination of the legislation between the country and the Customs Union.
“Soon they will start carrying out their tasks, and we will keep the public informed about the results,” Gagik Khachatryan stated.
To note, following the talks that were held on September 3 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan had announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
