Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said it is necessary to support implementation of the resolution on Syria adopted by the UN Security Council.

Speaking during the PACE plenary session, Minister Nalbandian noted that in his national capacity he had welcomed the resolution that had been adopted last week.

“Now it is important to support implementation of resolution,” he emphasized.

Minister Nalbandian recalled that resolution was adopted unanimously, which is a success of all countries.

Official Yerevan welcomes the resolution which can find diplomatic solution to the Syrian crisis, bringing peace to Syrians, including thousands of Armenians residing in the country, he added.
