The CSTO member states are ready to use all means, including the Russian military bases, to ensure regional security, Russian Duma chairman said.

If necessary, all forces and means of the collective security, including the Russian military bases in CSTO member states, will be used in the interests of the organization, Sergey Naryshkin said speaking at Russian-Tajik Slavonic University in Dushanbe.

Naryshkin noted that attempts to freeze the process of establishing a modern system of a multi-polar world and to build unipolar world through military intervention in various internal conflicts, are leading to creation of a kind of “arc of instability” stretching from North Africa to the Middle East, RIA Novosti reported.

It is extremely important to strengthen the central role of the UN and the Security Council, to respect the principles of international law and to ensure the priority of political methods for conflict resolution, he said.
