STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Friday attended in Lyon, France, the ceremony devoted to the 20th anniversary of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund French chapter.

In his address at the event, President Sahakyan noted that this organization is one of the most important French-Armenian community institutions which, ever since the first day of its founding, has actively participated in supporting the Motherland and strengthening and developing Artsakh, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

For the services rendered to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and in connection with the 20th anniversary of its patriotic activities, the NKR President awarded “The Gratitude” medal to the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund French chapter.

Primate of the French Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Norvan Zakarian, NKR Deputy PM Artur Aghabekyan, FM Karen Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, Consul General to Marseilles Vartan Sermakes, NKR Permanent Representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan, French National Assembly member and France-Artsakh Friendship Circle Chairman François Rochebloine, and several other officials also attended the event.
