YEREVAN. – The relationship between Armenia and EU is based on legal documents, namely EU-Armenia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Armenian Deputy FM told reporters.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan assured Armenia is developing these relations.

“Yes. The Association Agreement provided us with an opportunity to go for a more in-depth way. The Vilnius summit is ahead, however, life will go on after Vilnius summit. We have consistent dialogue, our relationship has not failed,” Mnatsakanyan explained.

The deputy minister also stressed the need to raise the legal basis of bilateral relations, since today they are developing in the framework of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, which has to be revised.

“We will review the agreement before the Vilnius summit and after it. I am sure we can shape an agenda in the course of bilateral dialogue,” he emphasized.

At the same time the deputy minister did not want to comment on the document to be signed by Armenia in Vilnius.
