The summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) opened in Minsk on Friday.
The CIS leaders will discuss crime prevention in CIS area, deepening of economic ties and preparations for the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said.
The leaders of CIS states, including the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, are participating in the summit. Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan represented by vice premiers, RIA Novosti reported.
