YEREVAN. – Foreign Affairs Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday met with Dimitris Avramopoulos, Minister of National Defence of Greece. 

Nalbandian noted that the two countries are interconnected with multiple links and Armenia underscores the need to broaden relations with Greece, informs the Armenian MFA press service.   

The FM added that he fondly remembers his official visit to Athens in March of this year, and he noted that the agreements that were reached during his trip are implemented.  

On his part, Avramopoulos stated that he evaluates Armenian-Greek relations very highly. He added that there are numerous cases in history when Armenian and Greek peoples have together fought against foreign invaders.  

The interlocutors also discussed bilateral political and military cooperation. 

In addition, Edward Nalbandian briefed the Greek defense minister on the ongoing efforts by Armenia and the international community toward a settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
