YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday received Ambassador Philippe Lefort, European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia.

The interlocutors discussed Armenia-EU relations and regional developments.   

The EU Special Representative also presented to Armenia’s FM the results of his visit to the Azerbaijani capital city Baku, informs the Armenian MFA press service.  

Nalbandian invited Lefort’s attention on the belligerent statements and provocative actions by Azerbaijan.

On his part, Philippe Lefort reaffirmed the European Union support to the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ efforts to achieve a pacific settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
