YEREVAN. – A book of condolences, in remembrance of Poland’s first non-communist Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki, has opened at the Embassy of Poland in Armenia.

To note, the prominent Polish politician died on October 18, at the age of 86.

“A man who had the courage to act wisely during Poland’s crucial moments has died. We say thank you,” said Polish President Bronisław Komorowski, who had appointed Mazowiecki his advisor in October 2010.

“Mazowiecki was one of the founding fathers of our freedom and independence,” added Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski speaking to the Polish media.

The book of condolences will be open from 11am to 4pm at the Embassy of Poland in Armenia.
