Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, or Artsakh, National Assembly (NKR NA) Speaker Ashot Ghulyan separately met with Congressman Adam Schiff and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, on Wednesday on Capitol Hill.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for expanding relations between Artsakh and the United States.  

Ghulyan thanked the Congress members for their pro-Artsakh activities and, subsequently, he spoke about the current developments in the NKR and in the region.   

They also underscored the need to invigorate the political, economic and humanitarian ties.  

In the afternoon, a reception was held at the Armenian Embassy in the United States, and in honor of the NKR NA speaker.

During the event Armenian and NKR state awards were presented to several American-Armenian public figures, and in recognition of their contribution to the resolution of Armenian national matters.
