April 29, RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan informed of pending lay off in the ministries due to optimization.

“We reached an accord with WB that all PIA (Project Implementation agencies) will be integrated into ministries. It is no secret that the wages in PIAs are higher than in the ministries and we should organize it in a way that best professionals are paid accordingly,” PM stated adding that duties’ offload is planned to be accomplished within the current year.

According to him, the funds accumulated as a result of the initiative will go to the bonuses of the ministries' officers.
