YEREVAN. – Peru’s first ever Ambassador to Armenia Humberto Umeres Álvarez (residence in Moscow) presented a copy of his credentials to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

President congratulated Ambassador on his new mission and added that Armenia attaches importance to deepening of relations with Latin American countries, including Peru. President Sargsyan expressed hope that during first ambassador’s mission relations will reach a new level.

Peru’s Ambassador assured that during his mission he will work for the development of Armenia-Peru ties.

In the context of intensification of political discourse, the parties noted importance of the establishment of inter-parliamentary ties.

They also exchanged views on cooperation within different integration processes and hailed cooperation of Armenia and Peru in the international agencies. President and Ambassador also touched upon the settlement of Karabakh conflict.
